The same live sessions on video, one-to-one with Bhumika. With the kit, it is couriered before Session 1 so you make alongside her from your own workspace. Kit delivery is billed separately, at actual courier cost.
A hands-on candle making class in Delhi, taught one-to-one at the same bench where Mikaya products are made. You pour, wick, blend and troubleshoot with Bhumika beside you, and your kit is handed over on the day.
The outcome
Not one recipe. Every format is taught in full, covering materials, ratios, temperatures and troubleshooting, then worked through in the practical session, so you can make each one yourself and bring what goes wrong to the doubt session.

Already making candles?
Most people who come to us are already pouring. They have watched the videos, bought the wax, and something still fails: a white bloom across the top, a hole under the surface, a candle that burns down the middle and never fills. Every fault below is covered in the modules, with the cause explained rather than a trick to hide it, and you can bring your own failed batches to the doubt session.

All one-to-one, on video or at our Delhi studio. You set the dates, including the gap before the doubt session, which happens when you've had time to practise.

Couriered after booking, with delivery billed at actual courier cost, or handed over on the day if you attend in person in Delhi. Everything for the practical is in the box, including the tools, which are yours to keep.
Once you book, we send our vendor list and the exact items to buy. Buy them before the practical to make along with us, or simply watch the practical live and make later from the recording.
Session One
2+ hours, live 1:1
Waxes, fragrance, wicks, ratios, temperatures and formulation. You finish understanding why each step happens, before you touch hot wax.
Session Two
3+ hours, hands-on
Candles, melts, tablets and sachets, worked through live with Bhumika, every question answered as it comes. Make along with her, or watch and make later from the recording.
Session Three
Live, once you've practised
Bring your results and your failures. We troubleshoot on screen, fine-tune technique and ratios, and make sure you can make confidently on your own.
After

The sessions end; the guidance doesn't. Reach us with questions as you make your first independent batches, for six months.

Bhumika left a career in investment banking to build Mikaya. What came next was not a business. It was a year of research: sourcing wax, testing fragrance oils, rejecting most of it and starting again.
And a year spent learning why things fail. Why a candle tunnels. Why a beautiful pour frosts overnight. Why a wax tablet that fills a wardrobe reads as unscented in a living room. None of that is in a recipe. It is in the science underneath, and it is what took the longest to learn.
Every product on mikayaindia.com is formulated, tested and made by her. Over two thousand units have been made, packed and sold, all within a year.
That year is what you are buying. Not a recipe, but the twelve months it took to work out which recipe was worth having.

FAQ
Yes, that is who most of our students are. Every common fault is covered with its cause, not a workaround: frosting, wet spots, sinkholes, cracking, sweating, tunnelling, drowning and mushrooming wicks, sooting, and weak hot throw. Bring your own failed batches to the doubt session and we will work out what went wrong in your process. If you already have wax, wicks and tools, take the Without kit option.
Wax-based home fragrance: jar, pillar, taper and sculptural candles, wax melts, wax tablets and wax sachets, with a module on packaging and labelling. Diffusers, room sprays and the business modules are part of the Home Fragrance Business Masterclass.
Three live 1:1 sessions. Session 1 is 2+ hours of theory. Session 2 is a 3+ hour practical. You then practise on your own, and Session 3 is a doubt and troubleshooting session. Outside the sessions you can call or WhatsApp us any time.
With kit, every material and tool for the practical is sent to you, or handed over in Delhi. Without the kit, you receive our vendor list and exact shopping list once you book, and either make along in the practical or watch it live and make later from the recording.
